Questions and answers
What homeowners ask us most about remodels and additions.
Permits, prices and the work
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We hold a Tennessee contractor license and carry general liability and workers compensation insurance. We send certificates on request.
Is the first visit free?
Yes. We visit, listen, look at the house and talk honestly about what your budget can do. Drawings and a fixed price come next, credited to the project if you build with us.
Is the price fixed?
Yes, for the scope in the drawings. Where we cannot see what is behind a wall, we name an allowance in advance. Changes you ask for are priced in writing before we do them.
Who will be on site?
One project lead from our company runs your job from start to finish, with our own carpenters and licensed trade partners for plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
Do you pull the permits?
Yes. We prepare the drawings, apply for the permits and book every inspection.
Can we stay in the house?
For most remodels, yes. We close off the work area with dust walls and agree working hours with you.
How do payments work?
A deposit when you sign, then payments tied to finished stages, such as rough-in passed or cabinets installed. Never far ahead of the work.
What warranty do you give?
One year on our workmanship in writing, plus the manufacturers' warranties on products, which we register for you.
Which areas do you serve?
Knoxville and Knox County, Farragut, Maryville, Alcoa, Oak Ridge and Powell. Further out, call and ask.
